Dominador “Domeng” Laraya Perez was born on the 28th of May 1945 in Quipot San Juan Batangas Philippines. He was the eldest son, the 4th among the 8 children of Mr. and Mrs. Vincente Burog Perez and Victorina Sallud Laraya. Domeng, attended his primary school in his hometown and finished his secondary at Batangas Eastern Academy in which Doming showed skills of sports, particularly basketball. After high school, Doming finished his college at FEAT University with a degree of Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering (Certified Plant Mechanic) and Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering. Domeng was a licensed professional engineer. He started his career in Floro Textile Mills, then followed on several known broadcasting networks in the Philippines namely ABS, CBN, PTV 5 and GMA channel 7. During that time he participated on the media coverage of Pope John Paul II’s first visit in the Philippines in the early 1980’s. Domeng migrated to the United States of America and worked in the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers South Atlantic Division. Domeng joined in holy matrimony Dr. Zenen Limbo-Perez (Ret. Col. U.S. Army) on 25th April 1986. Domeng loved to play basketball, loved to dance and fish. He was fond of making jokes and making people laugh with his childhood stories. He participated in religious activities as well as social activity. Domeng Laraya Perez departed this life on the 26th of December 2019 after being hospitalized due to a vehicular accident which he and his wife both encountered. He leaves to cherish his memories: his wife: Dr. Zenen Limbo-Perez, siblings: Charing; Ligaya and Mario; Adie; Junior and Baby; Rene and Medy; Linda and a host of nephews, nieces, aunts, uncles, cousins, family and friends. The family will receive friends from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. on Sunday, December 29, 2019 at the Hopewell Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home.
