Don Paul Schraner

Don Paul Schraner, 73, of Disputanta, passed away on Monday, October 10, 2016. He was preceded in death by his parents, Albert and Gladys Johnson Schraner. Don served in the U.S. Marine Reserves for six years. He was an avid hunter, fisherman and expert marksman. Don was a member of Brandon Hunt Club and the Sons of Confederate Veterans Association. He is survived by his brother, Albert Terry Schraner and wife, Brenda; two sons, A. Brandt Schraner and Paul Berkeley Schraner and wife, Debbie; two grandchildren, Cavan and Delia Schraner; two nieces, Amanda Terrell and Kimberly Stech; and close friend, Lew Mills. A graveside service will be held at Newville United Methodist Church, 9010 Hines Road, Disputanta, VA 23842, Friday, October 14, 2016 at 11:00 A.M. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M., Thursday, October 13, 2016 at the Hopewell Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home.
