Donald Wayne Bell, Sr

Donald W. Bell, Sr., 79, of Hopewell, passed away on Saturday, March 11, 2023. He loved metal detecting, fishing, woodworking and playing the guitar. He served in the United States Army and was Captain of the Hopewell Fire Department. He is preceded in death by his parents, Archie G. and Mary W. Bell; brothers, Edward L. Bell and Fletcher L. Bell. He is survived by sons, Donald "Donnie" W. Bell, Jr. and Michael Bell; grandson, Hayden W. Bell; and niece, Patty Bell "Tyus". The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 15, 2023, at the Hopewell Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, March 16, 2023 at Sunset Memorial Park, with Reverend Ken Hendricks officiating. The family request that everyone dress casual and comfortable.
