Donald Benson

Donald Wayne Benson, age 49, of Chester, VA, died on Monday, July 23, 2007. He was born in Corpus Christi, TX, and had the ability early on in life to talk to anyone as if he had known them a while. He enjoyed discussing sports of all kinds, and was also a very faithful employee of E. R. Carpenters for almost 20 years. Donald loved attending the Bermuda Baptist Church, and the many activities throughout the county of Chesterfield. He will be missed by his family greatly, but they are also all rejoicing in his homecoming with his Lord and Savior. He is survived by his loving wife, Albaluz Benson; his son, Robert Benson of Chester; father, Rev. James L. Benson, and wife Maria, of Springfield, VA; mother, Margie Rodriquez of San Antonio, TX; brothers, James R. Benson of Austin, TX, John Mark Benson of Houston, TX, and Stephen Earl Benson of Houston; and a sister, Cheryl La Mae Unger of San Antonio, TX. The family will receive friends at the J. T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home & Cremation Service of Chesterfield on Friday, July 27, from 6 to 8 p.m. Funeral services will follow there on Saturday, at 11 a.m., with interment in Sunset Memorial Park, Chester.
