Donald Lee Bratton

Donald Lee Bratton, 74, of Prince George, VA, passed away on Monday, December 6, 2021. He was the son of the late Guy Duff Bratton and Lizzie King Bratton. He is also preceded in death by his son, Steve Bratton, and his brother, Jimmy Bratton. Donald was a proud Marine Corps. Veteran and served honorably in the Vietnam War. He loved boating and traveling. Cars were a big passion, both riding in them and working on them, but most of all he adored his family, all of whom loved him dearly in return. Donald is survived by his loving wife of 43 years, Sheila Smith Bratton; son, Duane Lowman (Patricia); daughter, Lisa Nunery; daughter, Kim Smith (Kenny); brother, Jackie Bratton (Linda); sisters, Dorothy Smith (Steve), Thelma Jean Cole and Robin Bratton; grandsons, Evan Nunery and Tyler Scott (Kristina); granddaughters, Monica Lowman, Hannah Lowman and Samantha Hall (Calvin); and great-grandson and “little man,” Lucas Hall. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 15, 2021, at the Tabernacle Methodist Church in Carson, VA. A visitation will then follow immediately after.
