Donald Wayne Harvanek

Donald Wayne Harvanek, 62, of Disputanta, passed away on Monday, July 17, 2023. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Adolph and Georgia Skalak and Julius and Helen Harvanek; and mother, Marie Skalak Harvanek. Donald was a graduate of Prince George High School and was a member of Bethlehem Congregational Church. He enjoyed Nascar and had a love for all sports. He also loved his cats, yard ornaments, and flags. Donald is survived by his father, Edward J. Harvanek (Patricia); brother, Mark E. Harvanek (Brenda); sister, Kimberly A. Puryear (Dwayne); loving aunts and uncles, numerous cousins, several nieces, nephews, and other extended family and friends. The family will receive friends from 2pm to 4pm on Saturday, July 22, 2023, at the Petersburg Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held at 10am on Monday, July 31, 2023, at the funeral home with interment to follow in Southlawn Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Bethlehem Congregational Church or the Prince George Rescue Squad.
