Donald Sanford Jones

Donald "Zorro" Sanford Jones, 94, of Hopewell, passed away on Wednesday, August 7, 2024. He was the son of the late Robert and Estelle Green Jones. Zorro was preceded in death by his son, Wiley Jones; stepson, Bobby Piner II; son-in-law, Bill Church; and his six siblings. Zorro served his country proudly in the U.S. Navy. He was a truck driver for numerous years. He enjoyed golfing, and spending time with his family and friends. Zorro is survived by his wife, Lynda Jones; daughter, Annette Church; stepdaughters, Connie Mathews (Mike), and Kim Heffler; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and other extended family and friends to include his golfing buddies. The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Monday, August 12, 2024, at the Hopewell Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home.
