Donald "Russ" McCabe, Jr.

Donald "Russ" McCabe, Jr., 53, of Dinwiddie, VA, passed away on December 24, 2024. Russ was born in Petersburg, VA, to Donald "Donny" McCabe, Sr. and Bobbie Bollinger McCabe. He is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, William Robert McCabe, Jr. and Nellie Glenda McCabe; and his maternal grandparents, Charles Henry Bollinger III and Bernice Gaynell Pond.

Russ was a truck driver for many years, and he loved his chosen profession. When not working, he was an avid hunter and fisherman, enjoying many days out in nature. Russ will forever be remembered as a loving and devoted father, Papa, son, and friend.

In addition to his parents, Russ is survived by his four children, Andrea McCabe, Odessa McCabe, Jacob McCabe, and John Mullenix III (Kayleigh); and his two grandchildren, Brooklyn McCabe and Brannon Mayo III.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, January 7, 2025, from 6:00pm until 8:00pm, at the Chester Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son. A funeral service for Russ will be held on Wednesday, January 8, 2025, at 11:00am, at the Chester Chapel, with interment to follow at Sunset Memorial Park.
