Donald Patterson

Donald Leslie Patterson, 82, of Hopewell died Monday, September 19, 2005 in John Randolph Medical Center. Mr. Patterson was born in Hopewell and had been a life long resident. He served in the U.S. Navy from 1942 to 1946 during World War II and was a retired U.S. Civil Servant whose position was Chief, Logistics Support, U.S. Army Quartermaster Center, Fort Lee, VA. Mr. Patterson was the son of the late Samuel Thomas and Grace Westfall Patterson. He is survived by his wife, Jacqueline Clark Patterson of Hopewell, one son, Mark W. Patterson and his wife Helen of Midlothian, three daughters, Susan P. McCann and her husband Earl of St. Louis, MO, Leslie P. Grubb and her husband Gary of Richmond, Kimberly P. Murphy and her husband Patrick of Chesterfield, 6 grandchildren, Jennifer Patterson, Laura Patterson, Samuel Grubb, Katie Murphy, Jack Murphy, and Michael Murphy. The family will receive friends Wednesday, September 21, 2005 from 6:30 to 8:00 PM in the Hopewell Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home & Cremation Service. A funeral service will be held Thursday, September 22, 2005 at 11:00 AM in the funeral home chapel. Interment will be in Appomattox Cemetery.
