Donna Dalzell Boder, 93, of Chester, died peacefully on Sunday, December 28, 2014. She was the widow of Harry D. Boder. Donna was born and raised in Pittsburgh, lived briefly in East Orange, NJ, and moved to Chester in 1951. Donna forged a career as a bookkeeper, worked for the Chester chapter of the American Red Cross and retired from Delta Graphics in 1982. She was a member and past worthy matron of the Order of the Eastern Star, an active member of St. John’s Episcopal Church, and will always be known as “Mom” to the sisters of the Omega Sigma Phi sorority. She is survived by her children and their spouses, Donna Horner (Kent), Larry Boder (Jean), and Denise (Dee) Tomczak (Mark), all of Chesterfield County, as well as eight grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 31, 2014 at the Chester Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held at Bermuda Memorial Park, 1901 Bermuda Hundred Road, on Friday, January 2 at 10:00 a.m., with a memorial service to follow at 11:30 a.m. at St. John’s Episcopal Church in Chester.
