Donna Johnson

Donna Jean Thacker Johnson, age 59, of Dinwiddie County, VA, passed away on Saturday, September 19, 2009 at her residence. She was raised in Chesterfield, VA, the daughter of the late James M. and Sarah Perkinson Thacker. Mrs. Johnson was a member of Broadway Baptist Church, Hopewell, VA. She is survived by her loving husband of 40 plus years, Gene A. Johnson, Sr.; children, Cindy J. Leonard (David), Diana L. Whirley, and Gene A. Johnson, Jr. (Amanda); six grandchildren; five siblings, James T. Thacker, Sr. (Linda), Evelyn T. Price (Dan), Kirby D. Thacker (Neal Parson), Patty E. Wilson (Jackie), and Charles I. Thacker (Nancy); and other family and friends. Mrs. Johnson was a loving wife and mother, and will be missed by all who knew her. The family will receive friends at the Hopewell Chapel of J. T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home on Tuesday, September 22, 2009 from 6pm to 8pm. Funeral services will follow on Wednesday September 23, at 2 p.m. at the funeral home, with interment in Bermuda Memorial Park, Chester, VA.
