Donna Brooks Tucker

Donna Brooks Tucker, 65, of Prince George, passed away on Saturday October 8, 2016. She was preceded in death by her parents, Calvin and Susie Martin Brooks; brother, Buddy Brooks; and sister, Cheryl Brooks. Donna was an active and faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Prince George, where she had the pleasure of working with the Children’s program. Donna was a talented artist with a creative spirit who loved painting, working with crafts and planting flowers in her garden. Family and friends were Donna’s passion and delight. She adored her granddaughters, and was known to spoil them from time to time. There was never a princess tea party invitation that she didn’t enthusiastically accept or a fashion show where the girls didn’t look like starlets. She and her husband Beau often traveled with friends throughout the US, including a once-in-a-lifetime Alaskan cruise in 2015. Donna enjoyed the raw beauty of nature and was an unapologetic animal lover. Her dog Addie was always nearby at home and was her faithful friend. Donna was an adoring wife, a loving mother, a proud grandmother, a true friend, and a faithful servant of God. Most of all she will be missed by all who knew and loved her. She is survived by her loving husband of 48 years, Beau Tucker; three sons, Kevin Tucker, Chad Tucker and his wife, Jedina, Shawn Tucker and his wife, Cassie; grandchildren, Riley, Ayden, Evie; brother, Rodney Brooks; several other extended family and friends. The family will receive friends from 6pm to 8pm on Wednesday October 12, 2016 at the Hopewell Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held at 11am on Thursday October 13, 2016 at the Church of Jesus Christ of the Latter Day Saints 4181 Prince George Drive Prince George, VA, 23875, with interment to follow in Southlawn Memorial Park in Prince George.
