Dorian "Daddo" Adams, 72, of Dinwiddie, passed away on Friday, July 19, 2024. He was preceded in death by his mother, Gloria McDavid; aunt, Dorothea Proctor; and grandmother, Lola Jones (Ma Dear).
Daddo was a loving and devoted husband, father, and family man, who was a selfless provider and always caring for others. He was a renowned cook and known as the "King of the Kitchen." During his lifetime, he mentored and was a caregiver to many children and family members. He will be sorely missed by all who knew and loved him.
Daddo is survived by his loving wife of 28 years, Dorothy Adams; children, Adrian Adams (Cindy), Brian Adams, Travis Waddell, and Shanna Adams; grandchildren, Alexandria Adams, Marcus Adams, Olivia Adams, Xavier Adams, Matthew Waddell, Ariana Adams, and Azariah Muhammad; siblings, Monet Johnson (Edward), Michelle Johnson, Kevin Hughes, and Karen McDavid; special aunt, Sylvia Bennett (Tommy); brothers-in-law, Rusty Waddell and Shannon Waddell; and a host of other extended family members, nieces, and nephews.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, July 28, 2024, from 3:00pm to 5:00pm, at the Dinwiddie Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home, 6616 Boydton Plank Road, N. Dinwiddie, VA. A graveside service will take place on Monday, July 29, 2024, at 1:00pm, at Virginia Veterans Cemetery at Amelia, 10300 Pridesville Road, Amelia Courthouse, VA.
