Doris Tindall Atwater

Doris Tindall Atwater, 92 of Hopewell, VA., passed away Sunday, December 16, 2018. She is preceded in death by her parents, Wyatt Lipscomb and Elsie Tindall Lipscomb; her husband, Franklin William Atwater; sister, Elizabeth Mauney; sister, Jenelle McArthur; brother, Lawrence Lipscomb; and sister, Conya England. She is survived by her daughter, Carol Atwater Patille; daughter, Anne Atwater Edwards and her husband, Michial Edwards, Sr.; grandchildren, Rachel Edwards; Michial Edwards, Jr. and wife, Amanda; Zachary Edwards and wife to be, Nikol; great niece, Niki Williamson; great grandchildren, Lyric Barber, Ava Edwards, Easton Edwards, Luke Edwards, and Michael Jones III; as well as numerous extended family and friends. The family will receive friends, 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m., Thursday, December 20, 2018 at J. T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home, 820 W. Broadway, Hopewell, VA., where a service will be held at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel. Interment will follow in Appomattox Cemetery. Condolences may be registered at www.jtmorriss.com .
