Doris Bowen

Doris Elizabeth Wells Bowen, 76 of Hopewell, died January 31, 2006 at River View on the Appomattox. She was born in Winterville; NC.and was a resident of Prince George the past 54 years. Mrs. Bowen was a retired bus driver for Prince George County School System and was a member of Abundant Life Pentecostal Holiness Church. . Mrs. Bowen was preceded in death by her parents, Charles Thomas and Agnes Williams Wells and her husband, Redding Floyd Bowen. Surviving are her sons, Redding Floyd ?Reggie? Bowen, Jr. and wife Deborah of Prince George, Douglas Wayne Bowen of Chester, four grandchildren, Jarrett and Matthew Bowen, Sarah and Jacob Rhoades , one great-grandchild Dylan Bowen, a brother, Charles Thomas Wells of Greenville, NC., and a sister, Frances Daigler of Buffalo, NY. The family will receive friends Thursday, February 2, 2006 from 7-8:30 PM in the Hopewell Chapel of J. T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home and Cremation Service. A funeral service will be held Friday, February 3, 2006 at 10:00 AM in the funeral home chapel with the Rev. ark Lowry offiating. Interment will be in Southlawn Memorial Park.
