Doris Mae Royster Boyd

Doris Mae Royster Boyd, 92, of Church Road, passed away Wednesday, August 2, 2017. She was preceded in death by her parents, Edward G. and Elizabeth Owens Royster; husband, Woodrow T. Boyd; and son, Daniel E. Boyd, Sr. Doris was a member of Central Baptist Church. She is survived by her son, Larry T. Boyd, Sr. (Debbie); four grandsons, Larry T. Boyd, Jr., Daniel Boyd, Andrew Boyd and Lucas Boyd; two granddaughters, Tina Boyd and Amy Boyd; and two great-grandchildren, Gracie Schmaker and Buck Boyd. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Monday, August 7, 2017 at Central Baptist Church, 6405 Courthouse Road, Church Road, VA 23833. Interment will be private. While flowers are welcome, contributions may also be made to Central Baptist Church in honor of Doris. The family is being served by the Petersburg Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home.
