Doris Elaine Boykin

Doris Elaine Boykin, 91 of Chester, Va., passed on June 5, 2021. Doris was born and raised in Cushing, OK. She was the daughter of the late Francis Owen and Thelma Frances Spearman Davis. She moved to California in the early 1940's and attended Santa Monica High School and UCLA. She met her husband, Francis..._··Raymond Boykin, at church in Santa Monica and was married in 1952. She and Francis spent most of their life in Southern California. Doris was very active in her church and many community organizations. She enjoyed baking and was an avid reader, and loved spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Boykin was preceded in death by her husband, Francis Raymond Boykin, her son Davis Lee Boykin and her foster daughter Martha Marehalau. Mrs. Boykin is survived by her son, Raymond Francis Boykin and his wife Shelley of Prince George, Va., grandchildren, Jennifer Elmore, of Sacramento, CA, and Whitney Chance, of Disputanta, Va., six great granddaughters, Maribel, Lariah, Laycie, Dallas, Brooklynne and Cali Chance of Disputanta, Va., as well as over 20 nieces and nephews.
