Doris Brock

Doris Bishop Brock, age 84, of Colonial Heights, VA, died Sunday, February 25, 2007 in Petersburg, VA. She was born in Petersburg, the daughter of the late Thomas and Eva Wilkerson Bishop. Mrs. Brock was a current member of St. Marks United Methodist Church, Petersburg, and a former member of the Blandford Methodist Church for sixty plus years. She spent most of her life as a devoted homemaker to her husband Ashton H. Brock, Sr., who preceded her in death. She is survived by a daughter, Debby Purvis of Colonial Heights; a son, Ashton H. Brock, Jr. and wife Jeanne of Chesterfield; beloved sister and best friend, Jessie Anderson of Colonial Heights; a brother, Nelson Bishop of Petersburg; three grandchildren, Christopher, Phillip, and Hannah Brock, and one great-grandchild, Karlee Brock. The family will receive friends at the J. T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home & Cremation Service of Petersburg on Tuesday, February 27, 2007 from 6 to 8 p.m. Funeral services will follow there on Wednesday, at 1 p.m. Interment will take place in Blandford Cemetery, Petersburg.
