Doris Fulks

Doris A. Fulks, 78, of Chesterfield, passed away Saturday, September 18, 2010. She is the daughter of the late Algie and Flarine Luck Ashby. She was a long time member of Oaklawn Baptist Church and a member of Phillips Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary of Chesterfield County, Company 13 for 30 years. Doris is survived by her children, Betty and Bobby Bristow of Chesterfield, Allen and Katie Fulks, Jr. of Brodnax, Martha and Henry Vest, Sr. of Chesterfield, Joan and Eric Terry of Chesterfield; 8 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; brother, Harry Ashby of Colonial Heights; sister, Edith Wright of Petersburg and many nieces, nephews and other loving family members. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 P.M. on Tuesday, September 21, 2010 at the Petersburg chapel of J.T. Morriss and Son Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held, Wednesday, September 22, 2010 at 11 AM with internment at Dale Memorial Park, Chesterfield, at 1 PM. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to The Susan G. Komen Foundation, Phillips Fire Department, Chesterfield VA or Oaklawn Baptist Church, 7925 Hickory Road, Petersburg.
