Doris Goodwin

Doris Tuck Goodwin, age 78, loving wife and mother, has gone to heaven to be with her Savior. She married William T. Goodwin on April 4, 1948 in Richmond, VA. She devoted herself to caring for her husband of 40 years and their three sons. After her sons were older, she began a second career in Nursing and provided patient care until her retirement. Since suffering a debilitating stroke Doris has been lovingly cared for by her son Ned. Who spent the last four years making her life comfortable. Doris is survived by her sons, Wm Lee Goodwin and wife Peggy and their children, John & Kelly Clements of Petersburg VA, Clifford T. Goodwin DDS and wife Susan of Newport News VA, Ned J. Goodwin of Newport News, five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. She is also survived by one brother, Dennis Tuck of Roanoke Rapids, NC and one sister, Carol Davis of Highland Springs, VA. Join her friends and family in a celebration of her life at the Chesterfield Chapel of J. T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home & Cremation Service at 3050 West Hundred Rd Chester, VA on Saturday, July 29, 2006 at 11:00 am. Interment will be at Sunset Memorial Park.
