Doris Ruby Bryant Kessler

Doris Ruby Bryant Kessler, 86, of Petersburg, passed away on Wednesday, February 6, 2013. She was the daughter of the late Jack and Ellen Bryant, and was also preceded in death by four brothers, Collis, James, Otis, and Albert Bryant; and two sisters, Kathleen “Kitty” Townsend, and Lois Heartwell. Doris retired from Bell Communications after 43 years of dedicated service. She is survived by two sons, William Kessler, Jr., and Michael D. Kessler and his wife, Karen; grandchildren, Michael Ryan Kessler and his wife, Holly; two great-grandchildren, Ryan William and Kaitlyn Lee Kessler; sister-in-law, Bettie Ann Nunnally; numerous nieces and nephews; care giver, Sandy McPeak; and special friend, Edna Mayton. The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM on Friday, February 8, 2013 at the Petersburg Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home and Cremation Service. A Funeral Service will be conducted immediately following at 2:00 PM at the Funeral Home. Interment to follow in Blandford Cemetery.
