Doris May Mcilroy

Doris McIlroy, 94, of Chesterfield, VA, passed away on Wednesday, November 2, 2016 while in hospice care at her home. She is preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Robert E. McIlroy, who passed away in 2008. Doris is survived by a daughter, Linda J. McIlroy; a son, Robert B. McIlroy; and a sibling, Margaret Lakatos. During World War II, Doris proudly served her country as a member of the Navy WAVES, based in Washington, DC. She retained a lifelong affiliation with the WAVES, attending many annual WAVES conventions, as long as her health permitted her to do so. Doris truly loved her country. A graveside service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 5, 2016 in Sunset Memorial Park Cemetery. The public is invited to attend. The family is being served by the Chester Chapel of J.
