Doris Peach

Doris Midkiff Peach, age 67, of Chesterfield, VA, passed away on Tuesday, September 28, 2010. She was born in Suffolk, VA, the daughter of Ada Manie Lynch Jones of Hopewell, VA. Mrs. Peach was also preceded in death by her brothers, Glen M. Midkiff, Jr. and Bobby M. Midkiff. She began her working career at Allied Chemical in the accounting department, and then with Honeywell in the telecommunications department. She retired as a manager with AT&T in the telecommunications department. Mrs. Peach was a member of the Confederate Rose. She was fond of collecting duck decoys, and had done so with her husband for over 40 years. She is survived by her loving husband of 47 years, Scott H. Peach, Sr.; her sons, Scott H. Peach, Jr. and wife, Kay of Port Orange, FL, and Michael C. Peach and wife, Kariayn of Mechanicsville, VA;; grandchildren, Scott H. Peach, III, and Joseph S. Peach; sister, Arie Brandon and husband Lonnie of Varina, VA; and many loving family members and friends. The family will receive friends at the Chester chapel of J. T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home on Thursday, September 30, 2010 from 6 to 8 p.m. Graveside funeral services will follow on Friday, October 1, 2010 at 1 p.m. in Sunset Memorial Park, Chester.
