Doris Slaughter Stell

Doris Slaughter Stell, 82, of Hopewell, passed away on Monday November 23, 2015. She was preceded in death by her parents, William Thomas & Tempie Vaughan Slaughter; her first husband, Conrad Lee Long; and her grandson, Billy Joe Pulver. Doris enjoyed being at the beach, dancing and Elvis Presley. She is survived by her children, Lee Ann Pulver, Donna Long Moritz, Michael A. Long, Deborah J. Downey; 13 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and her extended family and friends. The family will receive friends from 3p.m. to 5p.m. on Sunday November 29, 2015 at the Hopewell Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday November 30, 2015 at the funeral home with interment to follow in Southlawn Memorial Park.
