Doris Holt Wallace

Doris Holt Wallace, 94, of Chester passed away on Tuesday, August 14, 2018. She was born in North Carolina to the late David Milton Holt and Anna Mildred Powell. She was preceded in death by her husband of 46 years, George Dock Wallace; Doris is survived by two children, Delores Ann Wallace and her husband, John “Pete” Smith, III., and Sharon Wallace O’Berry; 5 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren. She was one of eight children with only one brother remaining, Walter Holt. Doris was a faithful member of Kingsland Baptist Church for over 60 years. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 16, 2018 at the Chester Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home. A funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Friday, August 17, 2018 at Kingsland Baptist Church, 8801 Perrymont Rd., N. Chesterfield, VA 23237. Interment will follow at Bermuda Memorial Park.
