Doris Pace Webb

Doris “Dot” Pace Webb, 86, of Hopewell, passed away on Wednesday, December 7, 2016 at St. Mary’s Hospital. She was preceded in death by her parents, James Jordan and Emma Colley Pace; her husband, Ashby Paige Webb Sr.; four brothers, and two sisters. Doris was a devoted wife and mother. Her family was the center of her life. She was an avid gardener, talented seamstress, and had the ability to create beauty in everything she touched. Doris was a woman of deep faith and a longtime member of First Baptist Church of Hopewell. She is survived by her children, A. Paige Webb Jr. (Terrie), Doris W. Towe (Mark), Ruth Lowery, Robin W. Dicker (John); ten grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; a sister, Alice Johnson; several nieces, nephews, and other extended family and friends. The family will receive friends from 2pm to 5pm on Sunday, December 11, 2016 at the Hopewell Chapel of J.T. Morriss and Son Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held at 11:30am on Monday, December 12, 2016 at First Baptist Church 401 N 2nd Ave, Hopewell, VA 23860, with interment to follow at 2pm on Monday in Westover Episcopal Church Cemetery 6401 John Tyler Memorial Hwy Charles City, VA 23030.
