Dorothea Burnham

Dorothea Britt Burnham, age 82, of Chesterfield, VA, formerly of Hopewell, VA, died on Sunday, March 21, 2010. She was born in Hopewell, VA, the daughter of the late Joseph R. and Agnes Titterington Britt. Mrs. Burnham was also preceded in death by her husband, Elmer Burnham, Jr. She was a nurseâ??s aide for approximately 20 years at the John Randolph Medical Center of Hopewell, and was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. Mrs. Burnham is survived by her daughter, Patricia A. Hile and husband, Robert of Chesterfield; grandchildren, Heather H. Sherman, and husband Ron of Chesterfield, and Teresa A. Fisher, and husband Chris of Powhatan, VA; two great grandchildren, Ashley B. Fisher and Christopher R. Fisher; two step-grandchildren, Carl Hile, and wife, Robyn of Chesterfield; Lisa Brough, and husband John of Colonial Heights; and step-great grandchild, Logan Brough. The family will receive friends at the Chester Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home on Wednesday, March 24, 2010 from 6 to 8 p.m. A funeral service will follow on Thursday, March 25 at 1:00 p.m. in the funeral home. Interment will take place in Sunset Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Oak Grove Baptist Church, 3801 Beulah Road, Richmond, VA 23237.
