Dorothy Adkins

Dorothy Ann Adkins, 77, of Richmond, Va., passed away on Wednesday, July 11, 2012. She was retired from J.C. Penney . She is the daughter of the late John Thomas and Ella Rutledge Hahn. She is preceded in death by her son, Daryl and granddaughter, Asia. She is survived by her loving husband of sixty years, Howard Adkins; sons, Howard, Ronnie, Rex, and Barry; daughters, Terrie Redford, and Regina Adkins; grandchildren, Brandy, Lauryn, Renee, April, Dustin and Kimberly; great-granddaughter, Aubree; sisters, Mary Kay Deweese and Linda Tisdale; her faithful dog, Ziggy. The family will receive friends Sunday, July 15, 2012 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at J.T. Morriss Funeral Home, Chester Chapel. Her funeral service will be held on Monday, July 16, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home. Interment to follow in Sunset Memorial Park.
