Dorothy Ann Dooley Reynolds

February 29, 1944 — October 13, 2014

Dorothy Ann Reynolds, 70, of Chesterfield, suddenly passed away on Monday, October 13, 2014, after just celebrating her 49th wedding anniversary on October 2. She spent almost 20 years traveling the world (USA, Hawaii, Korea, Germany, England, Italy), as an Army officer’s wife before she and her hubby settled in Chesterfield. She entered Girl Scouting with her daughter, Deborah, while stationed at Fort Lee, Virginia. Then continued on as a Girl Scout neighborhood leader in Heidelberg, Germany with over 500 girls and troop leaders. She became a professional Florist, owning her own Florist business at White Sands Missile Range, New Mexico for more than three years before transferring to Fort Lee/Chesterfield. She continued her love for flowers by becoming a Chesterfield Master Gardener and helping friends and neighbors with their plants. She is survived by her husband, George Reynolds; daughter, Deborah Dawn Duran and her husband, Joseph of Las Cruces, N.M.; and her granddaughter, Leah M. Duran. A graveside service will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Friday, October 17, 2014 at Sunset Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Richmond Animal League (RAL) where she volunteered for many years, 11401 International Drive, Richmond, VA 23236. Condolences may be registered online at www.jtmorriss.com .
