Dorothy (Dottie) Ann Green Wann

Dorothy (Dottie) Ann Green Wann, of Chester, VA, went to be with her Lord on Tuesday, May 20, 2014. She was born January 6, 1932, the daughter of the late J. Emmor and Eleanor L. Green, and grew up in the West Chester, PA area. Dottie was known for her quick smile, kind words and generous heart for everyone who came into contact with her. She loved reading, cooking for her boys and playing card games with family and friends. She will always be remembered as a loving wife, sister, mom, grandma, friend, and a faithful church member. She was married to the late Grady S. Wann for 54 years. She is survived by two of her eight siblings, Shirley Joyce and husband Richard, and Thomas Green and wife Doris, as well as sister-in-law Marge Green. She is also survived by her four sons, Grady S. Wann III and wife Jane of Healdsburg, CA, Kenneth Wann and wife Susan of Lone Tree, CO, Eric Wann and wife Debbie of Chesterfield, VA, and Kelly Wann of Chester, VA; nine grandchildren, Joshua, Jennifer, Lauren, Kelson, Brittany, Michael, Becca, Sequoia, and Jackson. A celebration of her life will be held on Tuesday, May 27, 2014, at 12:00 noon at Christian Life Church. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Christian Life Church, 10930-D Old Stage Road, Chester, VA 23836.
