Dorothy Paige Olsen Ford

Dorothy Paige Olsen Ford, 86, of Hopewell passed away on Tuesday, December 20, 2016. Born in Suffolk, she was the daughter of the late William C. Olsen and Ada Powell Olsen. She was also preceded in death by husband, Thomas W. Ford, Sr. Dorothy enjoyed giving back and being active in her community. She was a member of St. John’s Episcopal Church, the Episcopal Church Women, St. Catherine’s Guild, Appomattox Garden Club, Hopewell Historical Foundation, Hopewell Twinning Association, Women’s Club of Hopewell, VA Historical Society, Williamsburg Foundation, and founding patron of the Patron’s committee for the James River Ball. She is survived by her children, Sallie F. Doeg and her husband, William, and Thomas W. Ford, Jr.; grandchildren, Thomas F. Doeg, and John W. Doeg. A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 28, 2016 at St. John’s Episcopal Church, 505 Cedar Ln, Hopewell, VA 23860.
