Dorothy Jarratt

Dorothy B. Jarratt, 79, of Carson, died Thursday, January 31, 2008 at her home. Born in Southampton County, she was the daughter of the late Grover Cleveland and Georgie M. Babb. She was preceded in death by her husband, the late Henry E. Jarratt. She was a member of Reams Church in Dinwiddie County. She is survived by her daughter, Linda and husband, James Babb of Carson; her son, Henry E. and wife, Cindy Jarratt of Gray Georgia; grandchildren, Matt and wife, Kelly of Gray, Georgia, Steven and wife, Sally of Athens, Georgia, Karen of Florida, Jamie and fiance, Anna of Carson, Jasonand wife, Anissa of Carson, Chris and wife, Amy of Carson; great-grandchildren, Austin Babb, Amanda Babb and Carson Jarratt. She is also survived by a sister, Ellen Bulhs of Suffolk and numerous nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM Monday, February 4, 2008 at the Petersburg Chapel of J. T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home & Cremation Service, with the Rev. Frank Mills officiating. Interment will follow at Reidville Baptist Church Cemetery, Sussex, VA.
