Dorothy Merryman

Dorothy Eloise Hoon Merryman, 87, of Hopewell, died Monday, March 31, 2008, at her residence. Mrs. Merryman was preceded in death by her parents, Otto Blaine and Bertha Catherine Neely Hoon, and her husband, Garmen E. Merryman. She was a member of Powers Memorial Baptist Church and was actively involved with visitation and meals for homebound members of her church. She is survived by a daughter, Jane Cromer Mitchem and husband, Dewey A., of Hopewell, two grandsons, Donald L. Cromer of Sandson, and C. Adam Cromer and wife, Janet, of Elk City, OK, three great-children, Aaron, Kelsee, and Alex Cromer and a sister, Betty J. Toney of Coraopolis, PA. She was preceded in death by 3 sisters and 2 brothers. The family will receive friends Wednesday, April 2, 2008, from 7 â?? 8:30 p.m. in the Hopewell Chapel of J. T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held in the funeral home chapel on Thursday, April 3, 2008 at 10 a.m. conducted by The Rev. James Rogers, pastor of Powers Memorial Baptist Church.
