Dorothy Holloway Pulley, 74, of Hopewell, passed away on Thursday, June 16, 2011. She loved baseball, especially the Atlanta Braves. She worked for State Farm Insurance for over twenty years as a secretary; then she worked for SuperFresh and Farm Fresh in Hopewell for over ten years. She was preceded in death by her parents, Alonzo and Alice Holloway; and a grandchild, Michael Pulley. She is survived by her daughter, Terry P. Bailey of Hopewell, Virginia; a son, James A. Pulley and wife Michell of Hopewell, Virginia; grandchildren, Jessica Bailey of Richmond, Virginia, Meghan Pulley of Hopewell, Virginia; brothers, David Holloway and wife Wendy of Georgetown, Delaware, Ronnie Holloway and wife Mary of Georgetown, Delaware; sister, Marion Stuart and husband Richard of Georgetown, Delaware; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. on Sunday, June 19, 2011 at the Hopewell chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Monday, June 20, 2011 at the Hopewell chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home, with the Rev. Ken Overby officiating.
