Dorothy Ann Robbins

Dorothy Ann Raines Robbins, 86, of Hopewell, VA passed away on Wednesday, February 20, 2019. She was born on March 12, 1932 in Breaks, VA, and was the daughter of the late John and Margaret Raines. Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband, Harold W. Robbins of High Point, N.C.; brothers, Oscar, Paul, Donald, and Benny Raines of Breaks, VA. She is survived by her two sons, Michael S. Robbins and Craig E. Robbins of Hopewell, VA; one granddaughter, Jessica Taylor Robbins of Hopewell, VA; sisters, Pebble Valinteno, Clara Kendrick of Lexington, KY, Bertha Emerson of Chester, VA, Linda Sebra of Prince George, Gracie Wimmer of Narrows, VA; brothers, Oscar Raines of Lexington, KY, Roby Raines of Breaks, VA, Jerry Raines of Oakwood, VA; numerous nieces and nephews. Dorothy was an L.P.N. at John Randolph Hospital and retired in 1997. She was a member of Liberty Baptist Church in Hopewell, VA. The family will receive friends from 1:00pm to 2:00 pm on Friday, February 22, 2019, at the Hopewell Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home. A funeral service will start at 2:00 pm, also at the Hopewell Chapel, with Pastor Phil Andrews, officiating. Interment will follow in Merchants Hope Memorial Gardens.
