Dorothy Sculthorpe

Dorothy Mae Sculthorpe, 69, of Hopewell, died Tuesday, August 18, 2009 in Medical College of Virginia Hospital in Richmond. She was born in West Virginia and had been a long time resident of Hopewell. Mrs. Sculthorpe was a retired clerk from Hughes Dry Cleaners. She was preceded in death by her parents, Elmer and Stella Sparks Loving. Mrs. Sculthorpe is survived by two sons, James W. Loving of Hopewell, Chester A. Tingler of Winchester, VA, two grandchildren, Benjamin A. Loving of Chester, Dustin L. Loving of Hopewell, three sisters, Vivian Glover, Mary Paxson, both of Hopewell, Patricia Martin of Prince George, and a brother Marshall W. Loving of Hopewell. A memorial service will be held Monday, August 24, 2009 at 7:00 PM in the Hopewell Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home with the Rev. Phil Andrews, pastor of Liberty Baptist Church officiating.
