Dorothy Vaughan

Dorothy Fern Muhm Vaughan, 67, passed away Thursday, July 13, 2006 at Southside Regional Medical Center. Mrs. Vaughan was one of fifteen children born to the late Fredrick Wayne and Mae Lillian Muhm of South Dakota. She was a member of Salem United Methodist Church and an employee of Hopewell Convalescent Center. She is survived by her husband, Benjamin J. Vaughan, four sons, fourteen grandchildren, one great-grandchild, a step-daughter, a step-grandchild, and a host of family members in South Dakota. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Deborah Jamison. The family will receive friends at the Petersburg Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home and Cremation Service on Sunday, July 16, 2006 from 3 to 5 pm. A funeral service will be held in Salem United Methodist Church on Monday, July 17, 2006 at 11 am.
