Dorothy Maxine Vaughan, 85, of Petersburg died Monday, May 25, 2009. Ms. Vaughan, a native of Ettrick was a daughter of the late Robert Emmett Vaughan and Lelia Bowman Vaughan. Dorothy was a graduate of Petersburg High School and attended the College of William & Mary. She retired from the Quartermaster Center and School at Fort Lee in 1974 as Chief of Academic Records and was a member of Second Presbyterian Church. Dorothy is survived by her brother, E. Carlton Vaughan; sister-in-law, Constance W. Vaughan; devoted cousin, Mildred B. Sadler and eight nieces and nephews to include her devoted niece, Van Culbreath. A memorial service will be held at 11 am on Thursday, May 28, 2009 at Second Presbyterian Church in Petersburg with Dr. Daniel E. Hale officiating. Inurnment will be at 10 am Thursday, May 28, 2009 in Blandford Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Second Presbyterian Church, 419 West Washington Street, Petersburg, Virginia 23803. The Petersburg Chapel of J.T.
