Douglas Cecil Wells, 49, of County Drive, Disputanta, died Wednesday, February 18, 2004 in Southside Regional Medical Center. He was born in Bristol, TN and had made his home in the Prince George area for a number of years. Mr. Wells was a U.S. Army veteran of the Vietnam Era and was a member of the American Legion Post #120 in Prince George. He was preceded in death by his parents, George W. Wells, Jr. and Mae Marie Hill Wells, and a brother, George Rayburn Wells. Mr. Wells is survived by seven sisters, Nancy Hunt, Alice Haga, Betty Rieker, all of Hopewell, Martha Draper, Angela Perkins, both of Prince George, Jackie Brinkley of Charles City, Bonnie Hall of Richmond, and one brother, Leonard William Wells of Dinwiddie. A graveside service will be held Saturday, February 21, 2004 at 10:00AM in Merchants Hope Memorial Gardens, Prince George. The family is being served by the Hopewell Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home.
