Dr. Adolphe Max Ehrenworth died peacefully at his home in Petersburg, Virginia, on Tuesday, November 25, after a brief illness. He was 83. Dr. Ehrenworth was born in Baltimore, Maryland on August 29, 1925 to Louis and Mary Ehrenworth. He served in the U.S. Army as a medic in World War II, and then received his medical degree from the University of Virginia. After completing his residency at Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, he practiced radiology at Petersburg General Hospital for many years. He was an avid and accomplished bridge player and played regularly with friends and online until his death. He is survived by one brother, Edwin Ehrenworth, of Norfolk, Virginia; three daughters: Joan Erdmann of Richmond, Virginia, Carol Brandys of Brooklyn, New York, and Julie Solomon of Broomfield, Colorado, and is also lovingly remembered by eight grandchildren. He was predeceased by his wife of 45 years, Wilma Ehrenworth, and his brother, Maynard Ehrenworth. Graveside services are scheduled for Friday, November 28, at 11:30 am at Brith Achim Cemetery on Crater Road in Petersburg. The family is being served by the Petersburg Chapel of J.T.
