W. Jensen

Dr. Edward Walter Jensen, age 78, of Chester, VA, died on Saturday, July 9, 2011. He was born in Cleveland, OH, the son of the late Edward W. and Gertrude Foster Jensen. Dr. Jensen was a Captain in the U. S. Army Medical Corps from 1961 â?? 1963. He ran a medical practice in Hopewell, VA, from 1970 â?? 2009, and was a past Medical Director of the John Randolph Nursing Home. He was also an avid reader and enjoyed swimming, biking, photography, and studying archeology. Dr. Jensen is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Louise S. Jensen; children, Katherine L. Chavoustie and husband, Owen, Ellen M. Jensen, Thomas E. Jensen, and David S. Jensen; and a brother, James L. Jensen. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. on Thursday, July 14, 2011 at the Chesterfield chapel of J. T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held on Friday at 11 a.m. in the Chester Baptist Church, Chester. Interment will follow in the Sunset Memorial Park, Chester.
