Durwood Marshall Jackson

Durwood M. Jackson surrounded by loved ones, passed away peacefully in his home Monday, August 31, 2015, after being diagnosed with pancreatic cancer in May of 2015. Durwoods passions included working on cars, NASCAR, Baseball (New York Yankees) and football (Redskins). Durwood had retired from Blue Ridge Paper in 2003. He was preceded in death by his father and mother Alonzo and Edna Jackson and two brothers; Wade and Larry Jackson. He is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Mary K. Jackson and one son; W. Marshall Jackson, Granddaughter; Lauren A. Jackson, Grandson; Austin W. Jackson, Sisters; Inez Wise (Bill), Gail Davis, Jean Hardison (Thurman), Janet Page (Gary) and several nieces, nephews and friends. The family will receive friends and family from 5:00pm to 7:00pm Thursday, September 3, 2015 at J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home 3050 W. Hundred Rd. Chester, VA., 23831, where services will be held at 11:00am Friday, September 4, 2015. Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Park. Condolence may be registered at www.jtmorriss.com .
