Eddie Bage

Eddie Virginius Bage, 64, of Waverly, passed away Friday, March 11, 2011. Born in Newport News, VA, he was the son of the late Virginius Franklin & Constance Baron Bage and was raised by James W. and Nellie Bage Cooper. Mr. Bage was a graduate of Chowan College, a U. S. Navy veteran, member of the American Legion, the Sons of Confederate Veterans, and longtime member of Waverly United Methodist Church. He is survived by his wife, Marjorie Lillian Bage; son, John Timothy Bage and wife, Jennifer of North Carolina; step-daughters, Jo Lynne Doster and Vonda Kay Martin; grandsons, Christopher William Thomas Chilcutt and Samuel Lee Britt, III; six half-brothers, one half-sister, an uncle, several cousins including Frances Bage Gray of Waverly, widow of Senator Garland Gray. Funeral services will be private. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to either Waverly United Methodist Church, P.O.
