Edith Condrey

Edith Bailey Condrey, age 93, of Chesterfield, VA, passed away peacefully in her home on Saturday, May 30, 2009. She was born in that very same home, the daughter of the late Thomas R. and Ethlyn Gill Bailey. Mrs. Condrey was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas F. Condrey. She was a lifetime member of Mt. Gilead United Methodist Church, and worked approximately 38 years with Thalhimers retail store before retiring. Mrs. Condrey was a strong and independent woman, and is survived by her loving children, Thomas F. Condrey, Jr. and his wife, Mildred, Sandra C. Mick, Gerald W. Condrey and his wife, Sharon, and Garland W. Condrey and his wife, Rebecca, all of Chesterfield; 9 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; and other family and friends. The family will receive friends at the Chesterfield chapel of J. T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home on Monday, June 1, 2009 from 6 to 8 p.m. Funeral services will follow in the funeral home chapel on Tuesday, at 10 a.m. Interment will take place in Sunset Memorial Park, Chester.
