On October 29, 2022, Edith "Edie" Fails joined her Lord and Savior in heaven.

After his retirement, they settled in Chester, VA, where Edie worked as an Assistant Branch Manager of Pioneer Federal Savings and Loan for fourteen years. She enjoyed interacting with her customers, easily making friends. Edie liked sewing, cooking, golfing, and especially spending time with family and friends. She was a long-time member of Chester United Methodist Church, where she served on the greeting committee, prayer shawl group, sang and traveled with The Joy Singers.
