Edith Mae Milliner Grissom, 83, of Dinwiddie, passed away on Friday, December 17, 2021. She was born April 3, 1938 in Amelia County, VA. She became a member of Mount Hope Baptist Church at a young age. She worked at Honeywell for over 33 years.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Carl Leo Grissom, Sr.; son, Clifford Earl Grissom; parents, Angle Sr. and Polly C. Milliner; brothers, Sibbie, Angle Jr. and Louis; sisters Betty Schrumb and Jenny Schenck.
She is survived by her sister, Dicie Moody; children, Carl Jr. (Beth), Michael (Angel), Steven (Jackie), Kathryn Ellinger (Bill), Carol Grissom (Brad), and Mary Hall; six grandchildren, Alan Grissom, Christopher Hall (Savannah), Cody Hall (Zayla), Emily Foster, Madalyn Grissom, and Victoria Grissom; four great-grandchildren, Anthony and Shawn Grissom, Karsyn Brooks and Rowen Foster; and several nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, and uncles.
Edith loved being around and spending time with her family and friends. She loved to watch “Lets Make a Deal” and “The Price is Right” every morning along with a cup of coffee.
A graveside service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, December 24, 2021 at Southlawn Memorial Park. Condolences may be registered at www.jtmorriss.com .
