Edith J Hudgins

Edith J. Hudgins, 93, of Petersburg, Virginia, passed away on February 10, 2024. She was born in Danzig, Poland, on August 13, 1930. As a young woman, she met her husband, Bill, in Giessen, Germany, where he was serving as an MP in the U.S. Army.

She was a very loving spouse, mother, "Oma," and friend. She always had a big smile and a hug for all. She truly "never knew a stranger" and always lived the Christian ideal of putting others before yourself.

She is survived by her three children, Lisa Loth, John Hudgins (Becky), and David Hudgins (June).

Her grandchildren, Autumn Tucci, Aaron Wockenfuss (Jennifer), Brad Hudgins (Jenny), Eric Hudgins (Nicole), Darren Vardon, Sophie Satherley (Peter), Bryan Hudgins, and Brittney Twisdale (Preston).

Her great-grandchildren, Gabriel Tucci, Xavier Tucci, Noah Hudgins, Camryn Hudgins, Amelia Hudgins, Adam Hudgins, Isaac Satherley, Leonorah Satherley, and Daisy Satherley.

A visitation and celebration of life will be held at J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home - Petersburg Chapel, on Saturday, March 9, 2024, from 2:00p.m. until 4:00p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Crater Community Hospice, in Petersburg, VA.
