Edith Weston Jennings

Edith Weston Jennings, 94 of Hopewell, VA passed away, Sunday, October 15, 2017. She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles L. Weston, and Pearl Jackson Weston; her loving husband, Lewis Linwood Jennings, Sr.; and her two sons, Lewis Linwood Jennings, Jr.; and James Reginald Jennings. She is survived by her devoted grandchildren, Joey Jennings and Destiny Jennings; her great grandchildren, Jason and Jacob Milton; a sister, Jerri Collier and husband, Hermon; as well as, numerous extended family and friends. Edith worked for many years as an Executive Secretary with Allied Chemical. After retirement she worked as a volunteer for more than 20 years at John Randolph Medical Center. Edith was an avid reader and a longtime member of St. John’s Episcopal Church in Hopewell. A memorial service will be held 10:00 a.m., Saturday, October 21, 2017 at J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home, 820 W. Broadway, Hopewell, VA 23860. Burial will follow in Blandford Cemetery in Petersburg, VA. Condolences may be registered at www.jtmorriss.com .
