Edith Lufsey

Edith â??Beaâ? Vaughan Lufsey, 97, of Petersburg, widow of Howard Wilson Lufsey, passed away Tuesday, June 19, 2012. A lifelong resident of Petersburg, she was the daughter of the late Lorenzo Burgess and Loney Faison Vaughan. Mrs. Lufsey was also preceded in death by her infant sons, Howard Nelson Lufsey and Claiborne Wilson Lufsey, and her daughter, Alice Louise Bryant. She is survived by her sons, Lewis E. Lufsey and wife, Diane, and Ronnie L. Lufsey; grandchildren, Cynthia Bryant, Vickie Elder and husband, Glenn, Cathy Newton and husband, David, Sherry Taylor and husband, Moose, Lewis Lufsey and Ronda Gunn; adopted granddaughter and devoted friend, Donna Cole; great-grandchildren, Dustin Newton, Autumn Aleshire, Darrell â??DWâ? Aleshire and wife, Ashley, Chad Newton, Erika Gunn and Alyssa Gunn; step-great-grandchild, William Taylor; several nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, June 23rd at the Petersburg Chapel of J. T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home & Cremation Service. Interment will follow at Blandford Cemetery.
