Edith Mae Peters

Edith Mae Peters, 87, of N.Chesterfield, VA passed away on Wednesday, February 17, 2016. She was preceded in death by her parents, Emmett Osterbind Sr., and Doris L. Rudd; her loving husband of 36 years James Peters, Jr. She is survived by her daughters, Diana Jackson (Wayne), Donna Anderson (Joe), Evelyn Prettyman (Steve), and Patricia Peters; nine grandchildren, fourteen great grandchildren and five great-great grandchildren; a sister, Nita Harrison (Bob); brothers, Emmett Osterbind and Wille Throckmorton; numerous extended family and friends. Whether she was called Grandmother or Nanny, she had a hand in raising all of her grandchildren. Edith loved planting flowers, tending her roses and spoiling her dogs Lucky and Tracy. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, February 26, 2016 at the Chester Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home, 3050 W. Hundred Rd., Chester, VA 23831.
